He is a hands-on problem solver who is passionate about user experience and the intersection of design, content, and technology.

Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson, known in her community as Dr. PBJ, is a transformational speaker, podcast host, and educator of almost twenty-five years. She holds a doctoral degree in education administration. Much of her work is specifically focused on equipping and refreshing educators. Compassionate work carries a high price tag: your mind, body, Spirit, and relationships may be in distress as you serve the needs of others. Dr. Jackson gives her community the strategies to accomplish purposeful work without burnout. 

Dr. PBJ is the creator and host of the Disrupting Burnout podcast as well as the author of the Amazon best-seller Disrupting Burnout: The professional woman’s LIFELINE to finding purpose.

Jena Marble is a graphic designer, art director, and clinical assistant professor of graphic design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has extensive experience in industry—working with clients that include Kohl’s, Toyota, Vienna Beef, and American Express—as well as academia and government, collaborating with Arizona State University, Baylor, USAID, the US State Department, and the National Institutes of Health. 

Jena’s research focuses on artificial intelligence and graphic design. She explores how AI can reshape creative processes and transform the future of the design industry. By staying at the forefront of AI technology trends, Jena contributes to the ongoing conversation on AI’s evolving impact on graphic design.

Allie Arp is the communications manager for the Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency (RIPE) Project at the University of Illinois. She handles all things RIPE communications, from web content to interview prep to event planning. Allie has more than a decade of experience in science communications. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations/professional writing from the University of Northern Iowa and her master’s degree in mass communications & journalism/agricultural education from Iowa State University, where her thesis focused on communicating biotechnology to a non-science audience. In addition to working at Illinois for nearly seven years, Allie is also an adjunct speech instructor for Hawkeye Community College. When not working, she researches hobbies that aren’t watching sports and eating Mexican food in the hopes of a more exciting bio.

Matthew Luken is a Vice President & Principal Strategy Consultant at Deque. Prior to Deque, Matthew built and ran U.S. Bank’s enterprise-level digital accessibility program. He grew the program from two contractor positions to a team of 75 consultants and leaders providing accessibility design reviews, compliance testing services, defect remediation consulting, and creating/documenting accessibility best practices across the company. The program leveraged 1,500+ implementations of Axe Auditor and almost 4,000 implementations of Axe DevTools and Deque University. Matthew was also Head of UXDesign’s Accessibility Center of Practice where he was responsible for creating seamless procedures and processes that supported the digital accessibility team’s mission & objectives while dovetailing with the company’s other Center of Practices like DEI, employee-facing services, and Risk & Compliance. He and his team’s work has been recognized by American Banker, Forrester Research, Business Journal, and The Banker. In his user experience and service design backgrounds, Matthew worked with over 275 brands around the world, covering every vertical and category. He continues to teach User Experience, Service Design, and Digital Accessibility at the college level, as well as mentor new digital designers through several different mentorship programs around the USA.

Stacy Billman is responsible for assisting the Director of Analytics and Alignment with developing and documenting processes and systems for key office functions and success metric analysis. She also manages various team-based projects and provides support for the Chief Communications Officers community of practice. When she is not thinking about organizational efficiencies, Stacy can be found planning her next outdoor adventure, baking, scoping out live music preferably at dive bars, listening to music or podcasts, or getting some kind of movement in her day, usually all with her pug mix, Louie, by her side.
