Authentic storytelling through user-generated content

Everyone is a marketer. Empower your audience to tell stories from their own perspectives and invite them to serve as advocates for your brand. No one is more suited or knowledgeable about your brand than the power users who shape it. This talk showcases some ways in which the department of bioengineering has worked with faculty, undergraduate and graduate students to champion the department and to share authentic, first-person narratives of what it means to be a bioengineer at Illinois. The pandemic has especially highlighted the importance of humanizing stories and the need for more authentic, personal and resourceful content creation.
