I’m a presenter. What do I need to know?

Web Con 2025 sessions will take place virtually on the Zoom Events platform, and we are requiring all presentations to be accessible. Visit Presenting at Web Con to learn more about our guidelines and requirements. If you have any questions about your presentation, please reach out to us at uofiwebcon@illinois.edu.

Speakers do not need to register for Web Con using the regular conference registration form. We will send you a speaker registration form early in the spring.

Is this an accessible conference?

The University of Illinois is committed to providing universally accessible services and opportunities to everyone. We work with units across campus to ensure we are meeting accessibility requirements. If you are a conference attendee and need accommodations, please indicate that on your registration form. If you’re not sure whether you did, reach out to us ahead of the conference to ensure you have everything you need. Presentation materials will be available in advance. Visit Presenting at Web Con to learn more about our presentation guidelines and requirements.

What time zone is the conference occuring in?

The conference takes place in U.S. central time (CDT), and our website and materials reflect those times. The Zoom Events platform that we use should adjust the times to reflect the location you are currently in to help you get to your sessions on time no matter where on the globe you are.

What are Web Con Workshops?

Our monthly workshops— an integral part of our broader Web Conference experience—promote collaboration and sharing of ideas, knowledge and insights from experts across the Illinois campus. These sessions, held during the academic year for U. of I. faculty and staff, provide a platform for campus leaders to present on a variety of topics aimed to enhance skills, exchange ideas and discuss common challenges in diverse, yet related fields. The monthly workshops are designed to foster collaboration and provide space for curious learners to be part of the Web Con community on-campus. Learn more about upcoming workshops!
