With a bachelors and masters in journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Lauren Laws has called her Alma Mater home for two years within the Grainger College of Engineering. Her writing style, first honed from seven years in newsrooms, is described by colleagues as descriptive, creative, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and feature-focused. She believes every story can shine; it just needs the proper light to do so. Lauren is also a committee member for the annual ASEE Engineering Communicators Conference, is a lover of all things Halloween, and is the resident Grainger MarCom Goth.
